A night in a hotel and that elf poured toothpaste out and emptied all the sachets of coffee. Basically a mess on the dresser.
Here’s how to make sure you get your 5 a day. Break into the Christmas orange box.
Emptying my larder draw might have seemed fun but I had to put everything back. Mind you it did prompt a spot of cleaning and reorganisation which is never a bad thing.
Sticker book fun. Lego city too which is just brilliant.
Bit worse for wear slumped over a glass the morning after breaking into mummy’s mulled ginger wine lol. Drunken lego men and snacks everywhere.
I have missed a few updates so here we go.
Emptying the pasta jars is always fun.
Elf created a s”elf” portrait he he
Elf raided the nappy basket and even ended up wearing one.
Then he decided to have a night of being a helpful elf and finished mummy’s sewing off for her.
However the good sewing elf was quickly replaced by an elf who wrapped himself and Noddy in toilet roll then raced around the house on a trike trailing the toilet roll after him.
The next night elf decided to bake a cake and only ended up making mess.
Then he wrote himself a Christmas card.
Well preparation for Christmas is well under way and my needles are flying. Thankfully the tree is up. Most of the presents are ordered or made and some has even been wrapped. Most importantly the kids are sorted and that’s the main thing.
Meanwhile on the sewing front I have lots to do. A family of bears ready to go to their new home.
What would you call a huddle of teddy bears? There are also monkeys being sewn too. Gosh all these Christmas gifts lol. I could do with an army of elf helpers.
There is also a production line of caramel sauce and lovely treats for stocking fillers too. Love these little jars from Ikea they make the sauces look really special.
There are also some Christmas outfits planned for the kids. A top and trousers for Twinkle and an embellished Tshirt for my boy.
And as a special treat to myself for all my hard work I had a hair cut. Totally chuffed. Thank you Jordan at Jons in Malvern I feel wonderful despite still not being 100% well. Boo to chest infections !
More elf fun. Some people refer to these as the elf on a shelf and in America they love them. Ours is called Jingles or Elfie lol. Last night he played havoc with mummy’s pasta jars.
The pasta was all over the place6 and talk about being caught with your hand in the cookie jar. It was clear who the culprit was.
This elf is starting to really settle in now and quite happy to get other toys involved in his fun.
This morning we woke up to find elf had been playing with the garage and all the cars.
He was wearing the rescue hat so I think he thought he was a fireman.
That elf gets up to all sorts last night after helping himself to the tin of chocolates he clearly wanted to do something different.
He played scrabble with Twinkles memory bear. They drank milk and ate cookies too. Elf cheats by the looks of things as he had a scrabble piece up his sleeve!
Naughty elf. They had made some good words on the scrabble board though.
More antics to come.
We have a Christmas elf come to live with us every year for the Christmas holidays. He arrived by special delivery on the morning of 1st December.
The thing is this elf is very special. His job is to report directly back to Santa’s naughty or nice list. So he watches the children of the house to make sure they are behaving.
But. …. he is very excited about his mission away from the north pole and tends to get very mischievous. While everyone is asleep he explores the house and gets up to all sorts of things.
His first night in our house he went to sleep with Zachary who loves him very much. In the morning though we found him in the kitchen.
He had opened the Xmas tin of chocolates, climbed in and helped himself to lots and lots of chocolate. The evidence was there for everyone to see. Let’s hope he doesn’t make too much mess eh
